New Music On The Horizon!

While speaking to someone the other day, I mentioned that things seem to be “getting back to normal” with the whole Dill gang! Still not sure how to define “normal”, but we’re all excited about digging back in and doing what we all love… making music, making friends and making a difference in the lives of others!

We have a lot of great things that we’ll be sharing with you over the next several weeks… and at the top of the list is our plan for new music. We’re gathering music for a new project and plan to begin recording within the next few weeks! It’s always a challenge to find music that speaks to us, but we’re really excited about what we have put together so far!

Just out of curiosity, what type of songs get you through the day? Do you go for the wide open, hand-clappin’, foot-stoppin’, git ‘er done stuff that puts a smile on your face? Or do you prefer the slow song that uplifts you through deep meaningful lyrics? What’s the one song that you can always listen to that brightens your day? Leave a comment below and let us know!

Shawn’s Biggest Fan!

I thought this was cute and couldn’t help but share!

Mike and Tammy McMinn are some dear friends that we’ve known for many years. When the McMinns decided a few years ago to build a new home, they asked Shawn to do the electrical work. During the course of the process, Shawn and Corey McMinn (Mike & Tammy’s son) became close buddies. Tammy posted this picture of Corey on Facebook just a few days ago.

Corey dressed up as his buddy, Shawn.

Ready To Hit The Road!

After having the last 4 weeks off to catch our breath and spend time at home with family and friends, we’re all ready to hit the road and do some sangin’.  On Sunday morning, we’ll be at First Baptist Church in Oakland, TN.  We’re also excited about Sunday night’s service at Christ Church in Brownsville, TN.  Nearly 3 years ago, the folks at Christ Church surprised us with gifts for the twins we were expecting.  During the middle of the service someone rolled a double baby stroller down the aisle full of diapers and other baby things!  I can’t wait to share the Lord’s blessings with the congregation as we’re able to introduce Ansleigh and Bryleigh… and even little Macie!

It should be a great weekend.  If you’re in the area, be sure to join us for our first appearances of 2011!

Happy New Year!

I made a short list of things that I needed to do before 2010 became history.  One of the things at the top of my list was to let you know how much The Dills appreciate your prayers and support.  This past year has been one with many challenges, struggles and problems… but also one that has brought many smiles, laughs and victories!  Whenever I take the time to examine my life, I realize exactly how much I have been blessed!  One of the greatest blessings for me in 2010, was the gift of Macie Hope Dill on June 28th.  It’s hard to believe that she’s already 6 months old and Ansleigh and Bryleigh will be 3 years old in May!  WOW!  When Bridget and I realized that she was pregnant, and the twins were only 16 months old, we freaked out!  We didn’t know how we would handle another baby!  Needless to say, God has a way of working things out. 🙂  Everyone is happy and healthy (well… most of the time) and for that, I am extremely thankful!

There’s no way to share all of the great memories that 2010 brought, but I can assure you that “YOU” had a part in making them a reality.  Whether we get to see you often or only once every few years, your friendship, thoughts and prayers are valued more that you may realize.

What awesome things did God do in your life in 2010?  What are you expecting from Him in 2011?   We,d love to know!

Until next year,
The Dills

LeeAnn Graduates From Nursing School!

SONY DSC

As many of you know, LeeAnn has been in an accelerated nursing program over the past year. That means she completed 2 years of nursing school in just 12 months. It’s been a tough year for her and I’m so very proud of her. LeeAnn needed a break from all the books and studying so after graduation we left the next day for a cruise. We went to Cozumel and Calica, Mexico with our friends, Mark and Jill Wade. We had a great time in the sun. She is now studying for boards and getting ready to search for a job. Keep us in your prayers as she looks for a job that will coincide with our ministry.  Check out the pics from the graduation, the celebration afterwards and vacation.

Merry Christmas!

We want to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas! It has been a while since some of you have seen a video from Ansleigh and Bryleigh. Just the other day, they were both sitting at the piano playing and singing their favorite Christmas song, “Jingle Bells”! I caught a little bit on video and just had to share. I showed it to Bridget and she laughed out loud… Hopefully it will put a smile on your face too! Again, Merry Christmas from all the Dills!

Where Have We Been?

That’s a really good question.  It seems as though every time that I’ve tried to sit down to send an update something else throws me into a tailspin!  I’ve said it before… (and will probably say it a few more times):  “There is never a dull moment around our house!”  The twins are full of life and changing every day.  Macie is now 4 months old and just rolled over by herself for the first time yesterday.

The last few months we have been able to spend a lot of quality time with our families and also be more actively involved at our home church.  Bridget and I have also been involved in a Monday night small group at our church.  We’ve been reading through a couple of books: What is a healthy church? and What is a healthy church member?  Our church has an annual chili supper and hay ride that we have missed the last several years… but this year we made it!  This has been a great opportunity for us to be spriritually feed and connect more with our church family.

We have posted a lot of pictures over the last few months that you may not have seen, so be sure to check them out on the photos page!

We are looking forward to 2 wonderful services this weekend in Benton, KY and Mayfield, KY.  Check out the schedule for more information.

Please feel free to leave us a comment below and let us know what has been happening in your life lately.  We’d love to hear about it!

God Bless,
Tim

Updates from the “Mail Bag”!

This was an email that we received recently that we thought we’d share with everyone.  We hope that it’s as encouraging for you as it was for us…

Several months ago we were blessed to be able to go one of The Dills concerts in Muncie, IN.  It was supposed to be a concert with The Dills and The Booth Brothers.  The Booth Brother’s bus had broken down so The Dills ended up doing the whole concert. (which was wonderful!)  This was our first time seeing The Dills so we were in for a treat.  During the concert Tim shared his and Bridget’s testimony of how they had had a difficult time getting pregnant.  Their testimony was such a blessing for my husband and I because we had been wanting children, but because of an illness that I have was told it would be dangerous for me to try.  We went up to Tim during the intermission and thanked him for the testimony because it encouraged us so much.  During the course of the concert Tim mentioned our situation to the audience and God so moved him to have the audience to pray for us.  We want to let you know that those prayers have been answered!  I went to the doctor in June and she said she now felt comfortable letting us try!  God blessed greatly when he allowed us to get pregnant the next month!  So far everything has gone well and we are trusting God!  Thank you for your prayers and for being faithful to God’s calling!

Love,
Josh and Danielle

A Quick Update…

Hey Friends…
Needless to say, it’s been a busy few months for all of us.  Macie Hope (now 9 wks old) is doing wonderful!  She is such a good baby and really loves her big sisters, Ansleigh & Bryleigh.  She has started smiling and cooing, and is just a joy!  I’m trying my best to stay ahead of the twins and keep a close eye on them.  They are quick and very sneaky so I have to stay on my toes constantly.  It’s quite challenging now trying to balance the responsibilites and demands of being a wife and mother of three, but it’s my life and I love it!

Here’s a quick update on the rest of the family!

–  Logan and Kaela just recently started a new school (Jackson Christian School) and both have been very busy with their studies and sports.  Logan is playing football again this year so he’s working out, practicing or playing in a game almost every day of the week now.  Kaela is playing softball for the school so she’s working hard at that.

–  LeeAnn will be graduating from Union University with a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree in December so she has had a lot of long days, short nights and many, many cups of coffee this past year.

–  Shawn has been occupied with his business, Dill Electric and keeping the roads hot traveling to all of Logan and Kaela’s ballgames.  He also plays ‘2nd base’ on the church league softball team when time permits.

–  Tim, who plays ‘shortstop’ on the church softball team, has been in a transition mode with his business career.  On August 31, after working as a representative for MetLife Financial for 11 years, he established Dill Financial Services.  It’s been a scary, but exciting change for us.

Well, got to go pack…  Leaving tomorrow morning for singings this weekend in Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas.  Takes me a while to pack for everyone now so I better get going.  Hope to see you soon!

Love & blessings,
Bridget

Introducing… Macie Hope Dill!

We are so excited to introduce you to the newest member of our family and group!

Macie Hope Dill was born Monday, June 28th at 10:14 am, weighing in at 7 lbs and 20 inches long.  The twins, Ansleigh and Bryleigh (2 years old) have become quite the little helpers and are enjoying their new roles as big sisters.  Tim and I are taking turns feeding, burping and changing little Macie and just trying to take it all in.  We are so blessed to have been given this opportunity to parent these three little girls.  Thank you all so much for the kind words, cards and calls.  We covet your prayers as we strive to be the parents God wants us to be.  We’ve also posted some photos from Macie’s delivery and homecoming!
